Risograph made to illustrate the typography essence of a Houston neighborhood. Rice Village is a shopping area near Rice University, it features an odd mix of shops. From high-end to antiques, to parlors, tea houses and restaurants. The type isn’t neat and perfect, it conforms to its surroundings. It scales up and has a worn-out wash in the letters. The illustrations are of an unexpected variety. They are different styles, sizes, overlap, but that is what makes the neighborhood blocks what it is: peculiar.
